The Weekly R.E.P.O.R.T.
celeb sightings, sapphic sports romance, & miami dispatch
Hi y’all! So… there’s this storm…..
By the time this reaches you, New York city will either be A: blanketed by a foot of snow, or B: facing the reality that we emptied Trader Joes’ bean supply for no good reason. Me, personally? I am hoping for the former. In fact, I’ve invested in a “sled,” which claims to support the weight of two people. Of course, it now occurs to me that the advisory board may have had children in mind… Alas, what’s done is done. Fingers crossed that me and Matthew make it down the slopes of Prospect Park in one piece.
Other than the approaching tundra, I am absolutely tickled to share that my sister trip to Miami went swimmingly. And I do mean that literally: Ava and I graced the tides of North Beach with gusto. What a special weekend. We ate long, lazy meals and finished books in one-sitting. We gossiped and debated and spilled the beans (not to be confused with the aforementioned, sold-out canned goods). We ran into exes and John Summit and that guy Elan from Love Island USA season seven. I was reminded that there is no greater honor, no bigger gift in this world, than being someone’s sister. A part of me will belong to her, always. And I’m so glad we got the chance to be girls again.
Before we continue, I need to emphasize how deeply disturbed I am by the inhumane actions taken by ICE in Minnesota. Please join me in supporting the brave citizens of MN, who are coming together as a community in the face of such horrific depravity. Here’s the report:
Reading: I had the most glorious reading week! I read four and half books across three different genres and I cannot wait to tell you about them. Let’s start with Workhorse by Caroline Palmer, shall we?
