Hey y’all! This week, I wrapped up the first leg of my book tour, started my second, and finally spent over 24 hours in NYC. (I say this while writing to you from CT… lol.) So far, the Most Famous Girl publication cycle has been rewarding, and exhausting, and surprising, and exhilarating. All the words. But one weird part of the Publishing industry is that everything moves at half-speed. So, while I’m promoting my second book, I’m also having cover meetings for my third and working on the proposal for my fourth. Isn’t that so wild? Authors are essentially fortune tellers. Our ideas have to stand the test of time, need to still feel fresh and relevant three years after they’re conceived. Yikes. Good thing I’m a witch!

While at home, I caught up on all my regular human responsibilities, like doing my laundry, attempting to get my Super to fix my closet (did I mention that my closet rod came crashing down while I was out of town and all 10,0000 of my hanging clothes are living on the couch in Matthew’s office?), and accompanying my loved one to the hospital for a day of appointments. I saw my gyno, and hugged my friends, and had dinner with my grandfather. All the little things that make me feel like a fully functioning human being. Then I packed my carry-on suitcase back up and headed to stop number five, in Mystic.

Next Wednesday, October 16, the most famous tour will continue at Barnes & Noble Upper West Side, at 7 PM, with the Eli Rallo. Please come and bring your friends, family, lovers, enemies, exes, etc.? Doing events in my city low-key makes me nervous. I would love, love, love to see you there. Here’s the report:

READING: I started this week by reading Fang Fiction by Kate Stayman-London, which had one of my favorite elevator pitches of the year:
