Hi y’all! This week, I woke up and decided that I’m done being sad. Been there. Done that! Bought the T-shirt. So over it… Anyway. My husband always says that constantly repeating negative things out loud, but never actually addressing them, can start to chip away at your mental health (he’s very wise). So, I’m going to attempt to focus on spreading positivity in this report. Zohran won! 24 hours of Nicolandria! I made my train to CT with less than a minute to spare! It stopped raining in NYC for four whole days! There was a heatwave, but still! We! Will! Take! What! We! Can! Get!

Part of my new optimism kick revolves around actually getting stuff done aka taking tangible steps to feel better. I emailed my therapist. I scheduled doctors’ appointments I’d been avoiding. I responded to friends I’ve been ignoring. I visited Angie — who successfully completed her lumpectomy surgery!!! — twice. With each agenda item I checked off of my list, I felt the familiar sting of satisfaction. Piece by piece, I began putting myself back together. My lips started to curl back into a smile.
